BROOMFIELD, CO –
May 21, 2009. Innoprise Software, Inc. today announced that the City of
Marlin, Texas, has gone live on Innoprise Software, Inc.’s CIS
software. The new CIS software replaces a system that had been in place
for 15 years that no longer meets the City's changing business
requirements. The City has already gone live on Innoprise Financials in
December 2006. Located in central Texas, Marlin is a full service
community that provides services to 6,628 citizens.
Marlin replaced their existing legacy system in order to
provide users with easier access to information and the ability to
generate ad-hoc reports without IT assistance. “Our old system dropped
figures and was not calculating,” said Edwin L. Snelgrove, Building
Official, for the City. In comparing the bills between their old and
new systems Marlin estimated that they are losing $20,000 to $30,000 a
year due to inaccuracies on their old system. “In every instance where
there was a bill difference the Innoprise CIS system was calculating it
correctly,” added Snelgrove.

and efficiency to the Marlin Utility Billing Department. The software
