BROOMFIELD, CO – May 12, 2010. Innoprise Software, Inc. today announced that the City of Kissimmee, Florida selected Innoprise Financial software. The new software replaces a legacy system that had been in place since 1987.  Kissimmee provides a variety of municipal services to over 60,000 citizens. 

The City has been running Innoprise Community Development application since 2004. Forty Kissimmee employees in five departments throughout the City access all four modules of Innoprise Community Development software including Building Permits, Business Tax Receipt, Code Enforcement, and Planning and Zoning.

Kissimmee desired a financial solution that would provide additional functionality that was not provided by their current vendor.  According to Peggy Sousa, I.T. Director for the City, they have never had much success with integrating their legacy financial system to other software used throughout the City.  “Our users have always complained that the system was not user friendly and difficult to extract data for reports,” said Sousa.    All Innoprise modules use a simple on-screen accumulator and query function to access any desired system data.    

“From an IT systems perspective the Innoprise system is a perfect match supporting our standards of Windows and SQL,” said Sousa.   Other desired IT features that made the Innoprise product a lone standout included an unlimited licensing model allowing Kissimmee to offer the web-based application across all City departments without purchasing additional licenses.  Also, Innoprise does not require third-party products reducing IT support complexity.  “The system is very user friendly, intuitive and standard design throughout all of the Innoprise applications makes training simple,” added Sousa. The City anticipates reducing their internal support time with the new system while bringing additional features to City users and citizens.
