BROOMFIELD, CO – May 4, 2010. Gunnison County, Colorado has contracted with Innoprise Software, Inc. for new Community Development software that will replace their current system that had been in place for over ten years.  The County provides services to approximately 15,147 citizens.  

Gunnison County purchased Innoprise’s Smart Government Solution -- a totally integrated IBM hardware and Innoprise software bundle.  Innoprise Community Development applications will be preloaded onto IBM’s Smart Cube server and shipped directly to the County.  Pre-bundled solutions, such as Innoprise’s Smart Solution will save the County IT staff time by eliminating all of the problems caused by the complicated, costly and limited capabilities of separately designed hardware, operating systems and database software.

Joanne Williams, Director of Community Development for the County explains that their existing permit-tracking/database management software was ten years old and being phased out by its current software vendor.  The County issued an RFP for a new Community Development application in November 2009. The selection process involved further evaluations which included an on-site software demonstration at the County. 

Gunnison County selected Innoprise for its apparent ease-of-use, flexibility, familiarity with community development department functions, and its Internet-based design.  “One of the strongest features presented by the Innoprise system is its flexibility, which will give us the capability to easily customize the system in-house and to track our performance and better serve our customers’ needs,” added Williams. The Innoprise system uses an open architecture and it was designed to be fully integrated with the Internet.  Users access the system simply with a web-browser.  “Another benefit of our new system is unlimited licensing.  Other County users can have access to the system without their having to purchase additional licenses.  We are looking forward to bringing our new Community Development system live,” said Williams.
