BROOMFIELD, CO - April 26,
2007. Innoprise Software, Inc. today announced that the Village of
Greenwood Village, Colorado, is live on Innoprise Software, Inc.’s tax
revenue software. The new software will replace two separate
custom-built legacy applications. Greenwood Village, Colorado is
situated in Arapahoe County, immediately south of Denver. The Village is
a unique community with a population of approximately 14,200 residents
and a "daytime" population made up of approximately 35,000 members of
our business community.
Prior to implementing the Innoprise tax revenue software,
the Village was using a legacy sales tax system that had been in place
for 10 years along with their occupational privilege tax software that
was designed in house 18 years ago. Using two separate applications put a
major strain on the Village’s staff. Users would have to bounce between
two systems when dealing with a single taxpayer. In addition, they were
very limited in the types of reports they could produce. "The open
architecture of Innoprise’s solution was extremely important in our
decision to move to this system. Having an application built on standard
tools and using current advances in technology was a key to the
necessary longevity of the application. The Village has created a
strategic direction that includes the entire suite of Innoprise
applications. It made sense to us that moving to a solution that would
inherently work with the rest of the systems we were planning to move to
was the way to go,” explained Andy Atencio, Information and Technology
Manager at the Village. “First, it was becoming more and more difficult
to support the existing software. Staff was not proficient in the
language the software was written in and the age of the software made it
increasingly difficult to be compatible with new hardware. From a
user's viewpoint, having two separate tax systems was inefficient and
cumbersome."
Greenwood Village is eager to use Innoprise’s robust
reporting engine. The new software uses advanced filtering to easily
extract data and generate reports into Excel, Word, HTML or PDF files
with one click. “Our staff is looking forward to utilizing the new
