July 9, 2009. Innoprise Software, Inc. announced today that the
Township of East Brunswick, New Jersey has contracted with Innoprise
Software, Inc. for new Building Permits software. Building Permits is
one of four modules that comprises Innoprise’s full Community
Development software suite. East Brunswick has gone live with
Innoprise’s Planning and Zoning application in September of 2007 and
Innoprise’s Code Enforcement software in August 2008. They are
currently in the planning stages of implementing Occupational Licensing
and in all cases, Innoprise replaced a legacy solution. Building
Permits is the last and final module of Innoprise’s Community
Development software suite that will be implemented this year at the
Township.
East Brunswick's 22.5 square miles is home to a diverse
population of approximately 45,000. A strategic location and a

“Initially our Planning and Zoning staff expressed their
dissatisfaction with their existing application software they were using
and stated their desire to replace it with new software,” said Steve
Williams, Information Services Manager for the township. “Staff found
it lacked functionality and was too rigid to use since it required them
to adhere to the software rather than the software adhering to their
needs. As the Innoprise Planning and Zoning software was being
implemented, the Code Enforcement official liked the design of
Innoprise's Planning and Zoning application. Since it was just another
piece of the Community Development function, it only made sense to
follow up with replacing the existing Code Enforcement module,” explains
Williams. “We have been extremely happy with each Innoprise module
that we have deployed and subsequently purchased the remainder of the
modules,” added Williams.

comfort of navigating the system,” said Williams. “Most impressive was
the ease of conversion and the shorter training time needed to bring
staff up to speed. Staff had to adapt from a rigid green screen
application to one that allows them to tailor how they wish to view
their data, explains Williams. “In addition to the benefits the
