BROOMFIELD, CO - December 12, 2007.
Innoprise Software, Inc. announced today that Arizona’s City of Casa
Grande has gone live with Innoprise's Financial Management software.
The new application replaced the city's legacy Financial system.
Casa Grande provides city services to more than 30,000
residential, commercial and industrial customers. Casa Grande deployed
Innoprise’s Community Development software in May 2006 to support the
city's need for an integrated solution that automates the creation,
issuance, and tracking of their community development activities.
The decision to purchase new software was driven by the need
to provide easy access to data across departments and improve
integration with other systems within the city. “We wanted to have
a system that's easy enough for non-technical employees to access the
information they need without intervention by our IT department,” said
Stephanie Adams, IT Manager for the City. Eliminating many of the
manual-based business processes and inefficiencies was another key
business driver for Casa Grande. Seamless integration to the city’s
existing mission critical systems, such as our Community Development
Center software was another priority.
The new Innoprise Financial Management software is bringing
many benefits to Casa Grande. For starters, the financial
department can now use online purchase orders. The ease of use and
workflow allows the purchaser to enter data that flows through the
entire system which results in generating a check. The automated
purchase order process replaces a manual process on Casa Grande’s
legacy financial system that involved multiple copies and a hand
written system. The duplicate, manual process left a lot of room
for error and meant that data had to be recorded at least twice. Having a
single point of entry has improved efficiency and keeps paperwork from
being misplaced. Departmental users across the city are now
able to view and report on any financial data that they have been
assigned proper security access. “Empowering our
organizational-wide staff to access their own financial data when they
need it not only takes the burden off Finance staff, but improves
efficiencies throughout the city,” explained Larry Rains, Director of
Finance/IT for the City.
