BROOMFIELD, CO - October 23, 2009. The City and County of Broomfield, Colorado, has gone live on Innoprise Software, Inc.’s Tax and Licensing software. This is the last application in Innoprise’s ERP suite offering to be deployed at Broomfield. The City and County has been live on Innoprise’s Financial software since February 2009, CIS/Utility Billing application since August 2006 and Community Development since April 2008. Broomfield has a growing population of over 50,000 and provides city and county services, as well as water and sewer collection and treatment services to over 20,000 customer accounts within the boundaries of the City.

Kimberly Pfeifer, Revenue Manager for the City explains that Broomfield was ready to replace its legacy Tax software that had been in place for 8 years. "Batch processing is now much faster than our legacy system," said Pfeifer. "Navigating through all of the screens in our existing legacy system was awkward for new employees to learn," added Pfeifer.

Besides being very user friendly, the Innoprise Tax software offers Broomfield users the ease of processing batches, it calculates the total amount of the payments, and holds the account and check number. “The collapsible tree on the left makes it easy to get to different functions,” adds Pfeifer.

Broomfield had planned for a two month parallel period running their existing tax system and Innoprise prior to going live. But, after 5 weeks of running parallel they decided to go live with Innoprise Tax. “Parallel testing was going so smoothly, balancing daily with the exception of a few clerical errors, we didn't see a reason to continue in both systems. We are looking forward to utilizing the new Innoprise Tax software to improve departmental efficiency,” explained Pfeifer.
