BROOMFIELD, CO - June 10, 2008. The
City and County of Broomfield, Colorado, has gone live on Innoprise
Software, Inc.’s Community Development suite of software replacing the
City’s 14 year old legacy solution. Broomfield is live on Building
Permits, Code Enforcement, Occupational Licenses, and Planning &
Zoning modules. The City and County purchased the entire suite of
Innoprise ERP software including Community Development, Financials,
Tax and CIS applications. Broomfield has a growing population of
over 50,000 and provides city and county services, as well as water and
sewer collection and treatment services to over 20,000 customer
accounts within the boundaries of the City.
The decision to purchase new software was driven by the need
to reduce support costs, improve GIS integration and offer enhanced
application functionality across departments. “The new system
gives our I.T. staff many more integration options that were simply not
available on the legacy system,” said Kale Gilmore, Director of
Information Technology. “We are able to fully integrate our GIS and
Master Address Repository with the new Innoprise system which was time
and cost prohibitive in the legacy system that was replaced,” explained
Gilmore.
Innoprise Community Development software will support
Broomfield’s need for an integrated solution that automates the
creation, issuance and tracking of the City’s community development
activities. The new software enables citizen’s access to many
features over the Internet. “Now, we can support online permit
submission, online scheduling and viewing of inspections,” said
Charlene Gabor, Community Development Administrative Analyst.
Inspectors will have access to the system from the field increasing
their productivity on a daily basis. “We anticipate our field
staff will save an hour a day once they are up to speed with the
system,” added Gabor.
“Our business needs have changed over the years and our
