BROOMFIELD, CO - June 22, 2009. The City
of Brighton, Colorado has gone live on Innoprise Software, Inc.’s
Community Development and Applicant Tracking software. The City
plans on implementing the remaining purchased modules of Innoprise
Financials, Payroll and Human Resources as well as Innoprise CIS in the
coming months. Brighton provides services to over 30,000
citizens and the City is growing at twice the rate experienced by the
rest of the Colorado metro area.
Innoprise’s Community Development software replaces a DOS
permitting system platform that Brighton had been running for over ten
years. Brighton’s Applicant Tracking module used a Microsoft
Access backend and wasn’t integrated. The decision to purchase new
software was driven by the need to provide the City with a fully
integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system that will allow the
City to deliver outstanding customer service. This initiative
will promote and aid in the transformation and standardization of
citywide administrative processes as well as centralize and standardize
data storage throughout the City. The City was faced with
inflexible architecture as well as paper based processes for most of
the key process areas.
According to Margaret Brocklander, Director of Information
Technology for the City, the open architecture of the Innoprise solution
was extremely important in their decision to move to the Innoprise
system. “The Innoprise solution will provide important new
technical tools for continuing to transform City Hall into an efficient
and responsive local government,” said Brocklander.
The enterprise software project will promote the integration
and standardization of data and processes aimed at streamlining
citywide business processes. Brighton will make it easier for its
employees to access real-time information, allowing them to deliver
constituent services more effectively creating a more user-friendly and
responsive government. The new system is designed to streamline
business processes and increase information sharing and collaboration
across city departments to ultimately improve delivery of services to
citizens,” adds Brocklander.
Innoprise Software, Inc. provides enterprise software for
the specific business challenges of utilities and local government
agencies. Innoprise provides next generation software for CIS,
financial management, community development, tax and work management.
The new software is based on 30 years of industry experience, Java™ and
Internet technologies that enable Innoprise customers to reduce their
cost of service, streamline operations and improve productivity. For
