BROOMFIELD, CO -
February 12, 2009. Innoprise Software, Inc. today announced that the
Town of Avon, Colorado, has deployed Innoprise Software, Inc.’s Tax
software. The new Tax Revenue software will replace a legacy system
that no longer meets the Town's changing business requirements. Avon,
Colorado serves as a gateway to the world-class Beaver Creek Resort and
is eight miles west of world-famous Vail. The Town has 6,500 year-round
residents, plus another 3,500 part-time residents.
According to Valerie Barry, Finance Officer for the Town, the
decision to purchase new software was driven by the need to improve
basic accounting transactions. “Our existing Tax software was outdated
and reporting was far from dynamic. We are looking forward to
Innoprise’s ad-hoc reporting capabilities,” said Barry. The Innoprise
Tax application uses advanced filtering to easily extract data and
generate reports into Excel, Word, HTML or PDF files with one click.
In the future the Town is interested in rolling out Innoprise
Citizen Access, an add-on module to Innoprise Tax. Citizen Access acts
as a transparent bridge between the Internet and Innoprise Tax and would
allow the Town to accept a variety of payment options including credit
card payments online as well as online applications. “Our existing Tax
system did not offer any type of Internet functionality,” said Barry.
“The Town staff is looking forward to using the Business Licensing
package to improve departmental efficiency and reporting capabilities,”
explained Patty McKenny, Town Clerk for the City.
